i-hob Portable Induction Hobs Make An Appearance At The Tewkesbury Food And Drink Festival
Chefs On Tour - Shaun Nean and Gareth Crwys-Williams, from Gloucestershire College, recently demonstrated at Tewkesbury Food And Drink Festival and used portable induction hobs alongside the Rangemaster suite because it was quicker and more controllable than gas - which may come as a surprise.

Professional chefs have been using induction for some time but it is becoming more popular for cookery demonstrations as it is quick, clean and easy to use and also requires no gas pipework or heavy gas bottles, unlike portable gas equipment.

Gloucestershire College also had a food stand at the food festival to promote its work within the community as well as its involvement with the Gloucestershire Launch Pad training centre situated in Tewkesbury.

Shaun's stir fry and Malaysian sate skewers and rice dishes sold out early on in the day.
