Compact Induction Cooking Station - Cafe Rubik Cheltenham

When the owner's of Cafe Rubik in Cheltenham wanted to squeeze a fine dining kitchen into their basement premises, they visited Target Catering Equipment's showroom and demonstration kitchen in Gloucester, where they saw the answer to their problem.

Target's experienced design team had been working towards a new range of 13 amp plug in induction cooking equipment, for use alongside the standard Blue Seal E31 convection oven and grill.  By adding castors for mobility and to produce the correct working height and an i-hob Quad 800 indunduction hob, for instant cooking response, requiring minimal ventilation, the result was a Compact Induction Cooking Station.

Target also supplied and installed the kitchen ventilation canopy, incorporating wall mounted, quiet pack extrenal fan and ducting, connected to an odour control system using standard easy access carbon filters mounted in the canopy itself.

This ensured that the ventilation system complied with the Environmental Health Officer's requirements, as well as the Local Planning Authority.

With the help and guidance of the Target design team, Klara and Tamas completed all the planning permission, change of use and listed building consent documentation procedure themselves, saving them the expense of a planning consultant's fee.

The tiny kitchen is now up and running and the Compact Induction Cooking Station is being used to produce wonderful Hungarian and continental cakes.
