Induction Cookery Training - Gloucestershire Launchpad Training Centre - Tewkesbury
When Gloucestershire College's new catering training facility discovered that they had limited mechanical and electrical power available and a limited budget to complete the facility, they turned to Target Catering Equipment who suggested that induction cookery may be the answer.
A complete conceptual redesign had to be undertaken and as Target had been working together with chefs at the college using the latest portable induction technology, electric induction proved to be the answer.

Gas had been the fuel of choice with the original design but an all electric induction kitchen, proposed by Target, offered a viable alternative. Replacing traditional gas and electric hobs with the induction cooking stations will save the college thousands of pounds in energy savings alone, along with time saved in cleaning and reduced maintenance costs.

After careful consideration and trials it was given the go-ahead and the contract to manufacture the new induction cooking suite given to Target Catering Equipment.

Tewkesbury Launch Pad vocational training centre opened in September 2009 with the all electric induction cookery training kitchen incorporating induction cooking stations and coffee bar designed by Target Catering Equipment. Students are now able to use the latest induction cooking technology and Gloucestershire College will significantly reduce its carbon footprint.
